work

I am ready to be at home with Ashley. Really I have been ready since January 27 when I went back to work after maternity leave, but my oh my how fast this year has gone. We are praying that some new doors will be open for me to be home. If not full time at least part time for now. We will see how the Lord works this out for us. Nate is waiting on some information from his boss, and I had a meeting today with my boss and co-worker to try and determine if it would be feasible for me to be part-time. The meeting was a bit discouraging because it keeps looking like the finance office really needs a full-time person. But, we are relying on God to show us what change (if any) we can afford to make right now. Most likely a change won't happen until January, so I am praying for contentment until we see what the future holds.

Judy

Maria has had some licensing trouble and can't watch Ashley until all of it is cleared up, so we called Judy and asked if she could help out this week, and she agreed. We are so thankful because it could have been a busy/stressful week passing Ashley around. We love Judy. Ashley is having a great time with her. She has a little dog and Ashley loves that and Ashley loves to play with Addie too. But, I think Ashley loves Judy the most. She has been really good for her, taking good naps and best of all taking her bottle! Most of the time with everyone else she won't take more than a couple of ounces. At Maria's she is lucky to get her to take 1 oz. Most days she only drinks 2-3 oz a day while she is at Maria's. But, Judy's first day she got her to drink 4 oz in the morning and 2 oz in the afternoon. I was quite impressed! Don't know what it is, but she had the touch. Gigi says if she gets the bottle warm enough (almost hot) then Ashley will drink a good amount, but she is picky about it. I've been wondering what to do about it though, the doctor suggested adding water or juice for her to make sure she is getting at least 20 oz of fluid, which I'm just not sure she does if she only drinks 3 oz from a bottle. We'll see. For now I am thankful for Judy and the love she gives to our baby girl while we are working!
